It is important for students to be able to self-evaluate in order to reflect on ways they can improve their written expression. Below are the various rubrics for the different essay styles. Alberta Education will often publish previous essay questions and samples of writing in order to assist students with being able to evaluate the quality of their own writing. By going to this site, a student can see the level of expectation for the various topics.
